Grey Matters Journal
Temple University’s chapter of Grey Matters neuroscience journal serves to increase access to scientific literature. With over 100 undergraduate contributors from authors, editors, artists, and designers, I oversaw the print layout for issues one and two and handled print production for issue one. Leading a team of designers, I art directed every page for the first two issues. Check out the issues here.
Issues 1 and 2
As layout director, my role included layout design, art direction of the layout designers, and print production.
These mockups represent only a few spreads from the over 150 pages I managed for issues one (left gallery, and above image) and two (right gallery). I also did the graphic illustrations for the machine learning article.
Utblick Magazine
I created the cover design for Utblick Magazine’s May 2021 issue. Utblick is a student magazine by Utrikespolitiska Föreningen Göteborg in Sweden that covers international politics. View the issue here and their website here.
This is the neglected issue, so I made it feel like a redacted document with the highlighted text as the neglected topics covered inside the issue.
The torn paper masthead top makes it feel as though the actual cover was ripped and what is left are these redacted documents with the manila file folder on top.
